Guest Speaker:
Frank Wiesner, Executive Director, NC Licensing Board for General Contractors
Bio: Frank Wiesner has been the Executive Director & Secretary-Treasurer for the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors (NCLBGC) since 2015.
Prior to joining the licensing board Frank enjoyed a 30+ year career as a residential and commercial general contractor and developer with the last 20 years being in the Raleigh, NC area where his companies developed over 900 lots, built over 600 homes and 22 commercial office projects.
In addition to serving as a director for NASCLA, Frank has served in leadership roles for industry related non-profits including Habitat for Humanity, as 2009 President of the NC Home Builders Association and as Chairman of the Board for the Home Builders Institute, a Washington, DC based construction workforce training organization. Frank was inducted into the North Carolina Housing Hall of Fame in 2015.
A native of the Annapolis, MD area Frank is a 4th generation contractor. Frank and his wife Laura have 2 adult children and reside in Raleigh, NC.
